Rule change - Min. DC++ 0.7 client 15 February 2011th

We change the client rules after 15th February.

MINIMUM VERSIONS of the most popular clients after 15th February, 2011:

EiskaltDC++ 2.2.0 released

On January 16, EiskaltDC++ 2.2.0 released, which is the fresh version of this multiplatform DC-client software. It contains a lot of bugfixes compared to 2.1.1, so all users using the earlier version should upgrade. The developers have finished the transition to the DC++ 0.770 core, which is a good thing despite the fact that it's not a visible change for most of the users. Along with this change, from now on, we can see the number of free slots for the EiskaltDC++ users on ADC hubs. Not a killer feature, but good to have.

ApexDC++ 1.3.9 released

Although ApexDC++ is not too popular on our hub (at the time of writing this article 5 % of our users are using it), ApexDC++ users may be interested in the freshly released 1.3.9 version which fixes two smaller bugs so it worth the upgrade.

You can download the new version from the client's homepage for both 32 and 64 bit Windows: http://www.apexdc.net/

Test: EiskaltDC++ 2.1.0 on Windows

On 17th of November, EiskaltDC++ 2.1.0 released. For most of us, one of the more important improvements of the new version is the support for Microsoft Windows. We took this opportunity to write a review for the Windows version.

Furthermore, several crash bug and a possible client lockup (freeze) is fixed, so you can expect more stable operation than before.

You can get the new versions from the client's homepages:

    DC++, BCDC++ after 0.75 - preview

    Developing DC++ hasn't stopped at all. The upcoming version is going to include several interesting new features. By checking the version under development we can see a couple of them already.

    DC++/BCDC++ is going to have a new window management mechanism. It's not visible itself, but makes possible to do many useful and innovative things. One of them is going to be a new icon on the toolbar letting the user to open the recently used hub and private message windows. It looks like this:
